I like this game but i would have liked it better if it was more like the arcade version.

because i am a 10 year old kid writing reviews on my grand mothers account. i thought this would be a pretty good game to review. its very fun. when somethings ddr its always fun. but..theres something missing about it. and let me explain graphics:i dont really need to talk about this. like in all of these ps2 ddr games the characters look very good and there cell shaded. and the backgrounds and banners are great to. gameplay:again i dont need to talk about it. its ddr music soundtrack:some songs are great. others just dont belong in ddr. its not that there bad its that there not ddr type songs. let me explain. the song list is 50/50 of ddr like and not ddr like songs. you have great songs (such as the paranoia and trip machine songs) and then you got just some songs that dont need to be in this game. such as...kids in america. like a virgin. ladies night. move your feet. and about 2 others. also you have 1 song that i hate..im for real. (my ears hate the song) features:the game has everything you expect from a home release. but in the sense that they kinda feel..a little rushed such as workout mode. you cant play workout mode as a mode. you have to turn on a meter for it then play some songs. and then go back to workout mode and see how you did. this also makes it impossible to have no stages when playing workout mode (unless you have event mode on) and also. there are only 2 characters in the game. blues. and rhythm. i dont care for these characters. so i just use off as my character all the time. OVER-ALL: ddr extreme is kind of in a way more for the new players. and what i mean is. is that the selection of songs and interface of this version make it a bit of a turn off to heavy standard and light players. and makes it more of a must have for beginner mode players. over all. this game is a buy if you like ddr. just ignore some of the songs. how ever if you dont like ddr. i would not ever tell you to buy this game.

Coming from DDR Extreme 2, I felt this version was a little less... advanced. Other than that, I like that this version has more "real DDR" songs and not "American" songs. I would recommend purchasing this.
