Pros & Cons :nintendo did us all a great service by going back to the top view action rpg formula they used in the first zelda and not inflicting us with an actraiser-esque side scroller like zelda 2 (which was good, this was just superior).

Pros & Cons :you gain one special item in each successive palace - something that has not changed as far as i know, fight bosses, and navigate your way through progressively more difficult dungeons/lairs.
